Who ever lends you the mortgage you need at the cheapest rate, with the features you need and offers more competitive product switch options. If cost is the same I would go with HSBC simply because they are a more familiar brand.1

I find HSBC 1.34 vs First Direct 1.44 vs £999 Fee vs £490 Fee - £157k

Not enough information to work out which is the cheapest but ultimately HSBC and first direct are the same company so I would assume the same process and timeframes for underwriting (but do not hold me to that as FD do not deal with brokers and HSBC only work a few brokers so I have no first hand experience).I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Still don't provide the relevant information for others to do it.3 -

Still don't provide the relevant information for others to do it.Some would say rather than getmoreforless being the epitomy of the “keyboard warrior society” (is that a phrase?) you represent the subset of society that expects everything handed to you on a plate and lashes out when you don’t get what you want. You are asking for someone to compare mortgage products for you (even though as above you have been helped on the same question on your multitude of posts). No one forced you to post rather than work it out yourself.
Since you choose to be incredibly rude to one of the very helpful posters who would have done all the calculations you ever could have wanted you are unlikely to get anyone else to spend their time to help you.4 -
You have to wonder, lazy is one possibility.
With the basic does it smell right test, FD is the clear winner on this limited information if these are 2 or 3 year products.
