Loan for a mature student who can't get the Advanced Learner Loan

Are there any reasonable loan options for mature students wanting to study a course (not university) for which the Advanced Learner Loan isn't available?

It might be worth contacting the college/whatever that's running the course to see if they offer any sort of finance.  Aside from that, a bog-standard personal loan may be a possibility - just be aware that your income and any existing debts will be taken into account, and will impact the rate that you're offered.  But there's no harm in running an eligibility checker with any of the high-street lenders to get an idea of what you might be offered (remember that an eligibility check is not a guarantee that you'll be offered the illustrative terms).
