I bought a Dyson air purifier for our bedroom as I suffer from hayfever and other allergies and I thought it would help. It made no difference whatsoever. We do still use it, but just see it as a fan - a very expensive one. If you do want to try an air purifier I would go for something less expensive.

Maybe try the simple things first. Spring clean, new hypoallergenic bedding, check out any mould/condensation issues and also any significant ventilation problems in the house.
An air purifier purchase really depends on what size of room you're looking at. I found a Levoit air purifier at £60 really helped. Why go straight for a Dyson at 10x the price?
