Hi all
I am planning to get married on 16th April 2022 its an Easter Saturday. So I have the venue (which includes catering and dj) and the photographers. I have paid the deposits via credit card which where 100 quid and over.
We have the registrar booked but it's a low deposit so partner paid on his card.
So I've been reading about wedding insurance and I don't know if to get it due to the current pandemic would it be valid. I know its a while away but things could change. I've read that deposits paid by credit card will help.
What are your thoughts?

I'd imagine it's worth getting if only to cover cancellation due to illness or even sadly death of a close relative. What would happen if one of your suppliers went bankrupt?0

We paid £86 for ours in 2019. Wedding was postponed to this year but not had to claim anything. I wouldn’t imagine one purchased now would cover for covid but should cover for other things- I seem to remember that we needed marquee cover and public liability insurance but can’t remember why and venue has changed now anyway.Just check it and reviews before you purchase. I’d still do it as even if they only pay 50% of cases it more than you would get without it!MFW 2021 #76 £5,145
MFW 2022 #27 £5,300
MFW 2023 #27 £2,000
MFW 2024 #27 £6,055
MFW 2025 #27 £1300/£50000
