Supermarket product's best buy dates exposed as prices yo-yo depending on day (msn.com)
It seems that pretty much all of the supermarkets are doing this yo-yo pricing. OK if it's normal price v offer price, but just putting prices up and down by over 100$ seems pointless,
Anyone spotted this in supermarkets ?

See it all the time in different supermarkets, I won't buy the product at the high price out of principle.

"Asda, Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Waitrose and Ocado"... spot the supermarkets not on the list.2

It's usually only on branded products which I don't buy too many of to begin with! I never see the price of unbranded 'staples' you cook with doing this, just processed foods. I'm not saying I never buy a packet of crisps, but I'm happy enough to pick from whichever brand is on offer the week I need them.2

Seemed to me to be a non-news item. It would have been surprising if it were not the case and the conclusion was that prices were stable.2

One factor in that is that as well as competing with the big supermarkets, Lidl and Aldi also compete with each other.2 -

Apparently the shortage of grass for cows is going to drive up the cost of milk.
Just shows that they will use any excuse to raise prices.0
