I am a 69 year old married pensioner and I pay tax on 3 private pensions. My question is: would i qualify for marriage Tax allowance. My wife is 65 and doesn't work and hasn't for over 10 years.

If you are a basic rate tax payer then you'd be eligible to receive it - note that it is your wife that has to apply to transfer some of her allwoance over to you.

Does your wife understand the implications of applying for this?
She would get a reduced Personal Allowance, £11,310 in the current tax year. If this isn't going to make her pay tax then you would be upto £252 better off.
Not working doesn't mean she won't be liable to tax.
She can apply back to the 2017:18 tax year but again whether that is wise will depend on what her taxable income was in each individual tax year.0 -
She hasn't worked in over 10 years and is registered disabled. She will be getting her pension next year.

You don't need to, the person applying i.e. your wife in this case, can just phone HMRC to apply.
