Any dealings with Link financial

My debt with mbna was sold to them last year, which I have just ignored till now, but I have received a letter stating if I do not get in touch with them they will refer me to Kearns solicitors.

has anyone any experience with them ? Is it an idle threat or will they go through with it and what can they do ?
I have no assets and not working at the moment.

Any help would be appreciated

Link are not known for taking court action often, and I note that this is just a threat at this stage.

Might be worth letting them know that you are unemployed, on benefits in rented accommodation and have no savings or other assets of any kind.

But before you do that, when did you last write or make a payment to anyone on this debt?

Sorry I just assumed you were as you posted on the BR board. 
Maybe try the debt free board.

It was only about 18 - 24 months ago so it will not be statue barred if that is what you meant, thanks for your reply , I will give them the good news tomorrow.
