New style JSA & P60

Good evening, I am due an income tax refund from last tax year 20/21. I claimed new style JSA for a couple of months.
HMRC cannot issue my refund as they're still waiting for the DWP to send over my P60 from when I was claiming JSA. 

I would like to know if the deadline is the same for the DWP to issue a P60 as it is for a regular employer? 

Any input would be appreciated

Were you signing on for JSA on 5 April 2021?

Did you give DWP your P45 from the job you had before signing on?  If so do you know what tax code was on the P45?

Hello, yes I was claiming JSA from mid Feb until early this month.
No, the DWP did not ask for a P45 from my previous job. My tax code however, was 1260L.

DWP normally make any tax refund due once the tax year has finished but of they don't have details of your earnings from a previous job then unfortunately you will need to wait for HMRC to issue the refund.

I would expect you will get the P60 sooner rather than later (and also a P45 relating to the current tax year).

Once you have the P60 from DWP you may find HMRC are happy to take the details over the phone and process your refund.
