Hi all, I was declared BR on 28th Febuary. I had a call from the OR's office wanting to go through my expenses, I'm at work so said I can't and would tomorrow be possible. She told me the documents I need to have and she's calling me tomorrow.
Any tips for this interview? I know I will end up with an IPA as I have excess income which is fine.
I don't want to negotiate really on my expenses as I feel they are fair I posted on here a while back and was assured that they are not near max limits. I'm a bit worried I will feel pressured to change things as she sounded very officious!
Thanks in advance

Just be honest, is my advice. Make sure you have all the documents the OR has mentioned to hand. If you start to feel that you are being pressured into making choices, you could ask for some time to think about things. Don't worry. It's just the process and one of the hoops you have to jump through but if you are honest and up front, there shouldn't really be a problem. Please note - taken from the Forum Rules and amended for my own personal use (with thanks) : It is up to you to investigate, check, double-check and check yet again before you make any decisions or take any action based on any information you glean from any of my posts. As above..just be honest and answer questions when asked.
An IPA is an agreement so you are allowed to disagree if you feel they are being unfair..be prepared to explain anything that may seem high.
My examiner was brilliant juggling amounts between categories to help me.1 -

Hi, was this your first contact from the OR? I was declared bankrupt 6 weeks ago and haven’t had any contact or interview from the OR. I thought I’d maybe got off lightly and an interview wasn’t needed but if your bankruptcy began in February I guess there is still time me to have one.Good luck for tomorrow, I’m sure everything will be ok.
I got a phone call from the OR a week after I was declared bankrupt asking for further details on my debts and circumstances, she said someone would be in contact within 3 months to go through my expenses and set up an IPA. Thank you I'm all ready with documents so hoping all will be OK.
Try not to panic about the phone calls it wasn't as bad as I thought and the relief at being able to answer the phone and open post again without fear makes it all worthwhile!2 -
Good luck! Let us know how you get on0

I've just got off the phone from the IPA assessor who was actually really nice and understanding. She says I don't qualify for an IPA so unless anything changes in my income my bankruptcy will be written off after 12 months. I feel so relieved that hopefully I won't need to speak to them again2

That's brilliant...you need to inform them of any changes within 28days. So try to keep things on an even keel for 12 months then you're all done 😁😁1
