Does anyone have any recommendations for ladies wellies? I don't really want to pay Hunter prices, but I'm after something durable.

I don't know if you need knee-high wellies, but if you only want them to mid calf, John Lewis's children's range go up to a size 8 and are brilliant value. Four years after purchase mine are in 'good as new' condition. They are extremely supple and fit very wide feet comfortably. You might want to order a size smaller than usual (or even two sizes smaller) - they are soft enough to stretch if necessary. Prices from £10 to £13 depending on size: https://www.johnlewis.com/john-lewis-partners-childrens-wellington-boots/green/p1355816?size=6Googling on your question might have been both quicker and easier, if you're only after simple facts rather than opinions!1

Hunters used to be great. But since they changed the MFG process for cheaper costs and based in China then not now the sameWeAreGhosts said:Does anyone have any recommendations for ladies wellies? I don't really want to pay Hunter prices, but I'm after something durable.
But you could try here: Amazon.co.uk : ladies welliesThe world is not ruined by the wickedness of the wicked, but by the weakness of the good. Napoleon1 -
Mine are also from Joules (via Amazon). More flexible than Hunters (i.e. I can drive in them) but resilient to tears/holes.#2 Saving for Christmas 2024 - £1 a day challenge. £325 of £3661

Hunter are rubbish, now. I bought Le Chameau in a sale over three years ago and still going strong, I have Joules welliebobs as well which are ten years old.1

I agree, Le Chameau's are my go-to for long walks and they are well made wellies. If you can find a pair of second hand Hunter's that were made in Scotland (the clue is that it will say so on the front badge!), they are probably worth the investment and will last you years (try eBay or Gumtree).MrsStepford said:Hunter are rubbish, now.
