Buy to let remortgage: How long from all paperwork filled (mortgage deed signed etc.) to completion?

Hi All,
I'm remortgaging a buy to let property I own, so far everything has been smooth and simple but I'm finding it difficult to get any form of timescale estimation from my solicitor. We received the mortgage offer nearly 3 weeks ago, and there's no outstanding paperwork that I'm aware of except for my signing the mortgage deed. Assuming the next step is only for the solicitor to arrange a completion date, how far out might that date typically be? I heard somewhere around 5 days to give the bank a time to respond, is this reasonable? Is it sometimes faster, or slower?
Thanks

@toucangaroo If there are no complications, it shouldnt take too long. If you're using free lender legals then they can sometimes be incredibly incompetent.

Haha thanks, if you mean for the conveyancing I'm using a professional (though they do need babysitting a bit)! But "not too long" is exactly what they tell me haha. How long is not too long? Like "it could be 2 days, expect 5, it shouldn't be 8" or something?K_S said:@toucangaroo If there are no complications, it shouldnt take too long.
