Use a broker or not....

We have just had an offer accepted on a property and as soon as the chain completes we will apply for the mortgage.
60% LTV borrowing approx half of our upper borrowing limit. We are talking to the FA from our vendors estate agent later, however its been a number of years since we have bought/sold property and we aren't really sure if its worth going through a broker or applying independently (we have seen a 5yr fixed deal that suits our needs). Any advice for stressed out seller/vendor ;-)

@mcmillk There isn't enough information to say whether you need a broker or not. If it's the fact that you think your circumstances are normal enough that you don't need to (or don't want to) pay a fee, there are plenty of fee-free brokers listed on the MSE mortgage guide, you could try one of them.Definitely check out your options before using an estate-agent broker who isn't whole of market and charges a high fee. If you do opt for a fee-charging broker, try to find one that only charges on offer. Good luck!
