About the Steward's House
The Victorian apartment sleeps two people and offers a unique opportunity to stay within the precincts of the Oxford Union, the University’s debating society and one of its most iconic institutions. By special arrangement guests can also attend the Union debates and see the Pre-Raphaelite murals in the Union building. The paintings, which depict scenes from Arthurian myth, were commissioned by John Ruskin and were painted by Dante Gabriel Rossetti, William Morris and Edward Burne-Jones. The preparatory drawings for these murals can be seen in the Ashmolean’s exhibition.
Travel to Oxford with Great Western Railway
Great Western Railway is partnering with us to also provide the winner with free return travel from London Paddington to Oxford, for two people, as part of the prize.
The Prize
There is a single prize as follows: One 3-night self-catering break at the Landmark Trust's Steward's House, for two people, plus two return train tickets from London Paddington to Oxford provided by Great Western Railway. The prize does not include the cost of any further travel beyond this rail journey.
Booking
The stay at the property, and travel, must have been booked and used by 31 December 2021. The prize is non-transferable and has no cash value. No cash alternative can be offered to the prize.
