Thursday- straight to voicemail- welcome to the o2 messaging service, person you are calling is unable to take your call, £140,000 not won today. 

  Presenter says straight to voicemail, triple rollover and if entered since Monday’s winner you could be called   

   Triple rollover on Friday- today’s entries, plus Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday’s entries in draw on Friday.

Or maybe they had answered a "PPI" type scam call or even a genuine call at just the wrong moment.

If it went straight to voicemail without ringing at all, it's more likely they either were already on a call, didn't have network coverage or had their phone switched off

I can't see anything in the terms and conditions about it being a guaranteed winner today. Did they say this on air?
