Yes, especially since they now only allow 1 free entry a day, I had wondered the exact same thing. I know people have been lucky enough to win on a free entry in the past, but I think that was in the days of having multiple free entries daily (ahh, the good old days!)...

The radio competitions, just like the TV ones, are run to make a profit - When the free entry route switched to postal on TV along with fewer competition but bigger prizes, competition winners from MSE, which had been a regular occurrence,  effectively vanished - the switch to the current daily radio ones with the winner requirements instead of the "weekly" type they used to run seems to have had the same effect and probably made free entries just a tiny percentage of the total so although an individual free entry still has the same chance as a paid one it is far more likely (simply because there are far more of them) a paid entry will win

Thank you for posting the amounts today @Moneybot, I’m ok, however I was unable to listen to the radio and post the amounts this morning as I was preoccupied this morning helping my mum who tripped and broke her shoulder the other day. If I can will post tomorrow’s amounts.
