Personal Injury. Where to go?

Thanks very much for the replies everybody. Really helping me understand the process a little more.I'll answer all the questions. The accident was an accident. But had training happened it's fair to say we'd have worked in a different way that would have prevented injury. An accident report was not completed on the day. We didn't know who to go to (lack of training/guidance) and when I returned from hospital most people had gone home. Accident form was completed next working day after I'd chased completion. Riddor report completed a few weeks after accident after I'd chased it to be completed.Contractor, as in self employed labourer working in an different field of work than normal.I wish i had my own insuranceTELLIT01 said:I would not sign up with any claims management company until you know what the insurer for the company you were working for is offering. If you do sign up, they will take 25% even if you don't get a penny more than is currently on offer.
This is what I'm thinking, plus the hassle/time frame involved. But without knowing ballpark figures and what elements make up compensation claims then I can't judge the fairness of any offer.Guess I'll speak to the personal injury solicitor and try and get a ballpark figure/range, then chat to the company insurer and see if we can get to an agreement. Thanks for everone's help and if you have any more thoughts I'd be happy to hear them!
