where do you keep your eggs?

I think, rightly or wrongly, most people probably keep eggs in the fridge door . Partly to do with the egg shaped trays that come with them and also to reduce clutter on surfaces.
Personally, we eat so little bread that we keep it in the freezer and toast/defrost as needed. We have a bread bin but now use it for biscuits/crispbreads.0 -
Eggs out of the fridge, always. We have 15 chickens and their eggs live in a larger mixing bowl on the counter.0

On the side
Note to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Eggs are kept in the larder cupboard. Potatoes and onions are kept in black lined cotton bags on a vegetable rack. All other veg is kept in the fridge.

LOVE that IM! Eggs in their box on the side. Butter in a dish on the side except when it gets really hot (my house isn't particularly warm). Bread in the freezer as I rarely eat it. Potatoes in the fridge as I rarely eat them. Onions on the work surface with tomatoes, peppers and avocados for immediate use (ones I want to last stay in the salad drawer)

Eggs on the counter in ceramic egg shaped trays, home made bread in a ceramic bread crock and potatoes in hessian sacks in a wicker lidded box0

JGB1955 said:I keep eggs in the larder cupboard (so at room temperature) and that's where my bread is too. Putting bread in the fridge dries it out and it becomes stale far quicker than at an ambient temperature (IMO). I also keep butter in the larder, other than when it's REALLY warm. I also keep ketchup and salad cream in the larder. My fridge, basically, has milk, cheese, cream, other dairy products, wine, fresh vegetables (but definitely not potatoes) and .... that's about it!1

Firsly, I have to state that I live alone, so things don't necessarily get used quickly.I keep my eggs, potatoes, tomatoes, in the fridge, while bread and grated cheese goes in the freezer. We are told not to store cheese, tomatoes and potatoes in the fridge/freezer but they would go off if I didn't. If I store potatoes in a dark place they still start to sprout but not in the fridge (salad drawer). Some will argue that it not the ideal situation but the baking potatoes (two left) in my fridge have a "best before" date of 28 March and it is now 17 May. No matter what type of bag etc I stored them in elsewhere in the kitchen would they last that long.0

I have a wooden egg rack exactly the same as Islandmaid's but mine just says EGGS, it lives on top of the bamboo bread bin on the work surface next to the range. I keep tomatoes in a bowl on the sunniest windowsill and they ripen and sweeten far more than they are when they arrive from the shops. Much nicer taste.1

My eggs get kept in the box at the back of the fridge.
Unless I've bought a fresh baguette etc to eat for lunch all my bread gets frozen and defrosted as needed.
I usually have 2 slices of a half loaf for breakfast and 2 rolls for lunch so it gets used slowly.1
