'WHICH' reviews - are they worth the money? Got a whole house to refurb and feeling lost...

We're about to completely refurbish a house we've moved into, and will, for the first time after decades of parsimony, be buying lots of new stuff!

After spending time looking at online reviews for microwaves and cookers, I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed - and this is only just the beginning :o. I've had a trawl through the Good Housekeeping website (their recommended inbuilt microwave combi oven was a Whirloppol, which astonished me, tbh), but as soon as I try to look at any products in any more depth in order to narrow things down to just two or three choices, I end up feeling moire bewildered than before. I'm now wondering if trialling the one month Which offer, and perhaps extending for a month or two might be the way to go.  However, the last time I used Which was in the 90's, and I'm wondering if things have moved on since then. How reliable/up to date are their reviews?  Has anyone got any other suggestions?

(I've used UK White Goods in the past also - but the washing machine my mum bought as a result turned out to be an absolute dud, so not keen to revisit that one, if I'm honest.)

    Personal opinion NO .
Top xx product  one month is replaced two month later by further tests .
Also seems as multiple choice reviews on many products .
Last two i looked at mattress with about 5 different Which best buys and similar for upright vacuums .

Thanks so much - but you need a Which login to be able to see it, sadly.

So sorry.  I'm far too old for technology.
Tried to be clever.  Opened "Which?" and logged out.  Clicked on the above link and found I could read the mags on the webpage.  Posted the link for you.
Couldn't understand why I could read them after I'd logged out but you couldn't.  I have just checked and it seems when I click on the link above, I get automatically logged in again.  Lesson learned.
To answer your original question, I don't remember when I joined but I've been a member for at least 50 years.  If you had asked the question 10 or 15 years ago I would have said it was well worth the money.  Now, however, I am very old, live alone, don't feel the need to buy/replace things like I once did.  I don't have the skills necessary to understand about the latest technological goodies being tested so I feel left behind.
We are all aware that a constant problem is the fact that, today, what we buy is quickly superseded by something "better".  Similarly, the "best buys" in "Which?" will be superseded with differing "best buys" - usually just after you have bought something thar has a good rating.
Therefore it is difficult for me to say to you whethere it's worth joining.  It's also difficult for you to decide without access to the magazine content.  Libraries used to have copies of the mags but I don't know if they still do.

Try it for a fiver for first month. Cancel any time. Good reviews on best buys but they do update as new products arrive.

Read the T&C Do not come back as many do on on other threads! To say you have been scammed as they do not bother to read the big page in front of them.  :s

Thanks! I've checked and our local library does carry the magazine, so my first port of call will be to nip in there next week and have a browse - I'm better with printed stuff anyway, tbh!! I hereby solemnly promise, @Hasbeen, never, never to moan about being 'scammed' on account of being too dim to understand inertia selling :#
