Does the T&Cs you're referring to refer to the original card or the plan to repay the debt now that the interest is frozen?
I've been in your position & when I've settled the debt I've never been charged interest just for paying it off early.
personally I'd ring HSBC up & ask them....that's the only way you'll know for sure
