This is a long story made short.
I self Certified for 1 week, because my employer has been totally unreasonable, she has not spoken to me she is doing some sort of investigation on me she thinks I have been gossiping and thinks she has grounds for suppending, but I went sick before I knew about this, she rang me and told me she was going to suspend, but because I was off sick she would suspend the suspension until I was fit for work, (I do have long Covid. )I want to resign with immediate effect, as I know she will sack me, she is not a reason person, in the last few years I have been working for her if she dosent like someone she will make their working life hell, she will only give them a few hours work, I work for a care agency.
In short can I resign from the company?
Thank you

However, just give whatever notice is required under your employment contract. If you haven't been told otherwise, it will be one week. On that basis, if your employer receives the resignation today (a Friday), your last day of employment will be next Friday.
If you are on a "zero hours" contract which it sounds as though you might be, your employer can simply not give you any work during your notice period.0 -
Of course you can resign - however, you may struggle to get a complimentary reference0
-
If you are concerned about how being sacked will look on your next reference be aware that some employers will state "resigned whilst under disciplinary investigation" or words to that affect. Clearly doesnt state your guilt but some will come to their own conclusions as to why you may have left0

If zero hours you can just start working somewhere else and refuse any work that classes or all offers of work.
no need to resign a zero hours.
If off sick and going to be suspended why give up your notice pay just resign with notice.0
