Prolific unable to login PEC-AS-0005 error

If this should be on "Techie forum" would you please move for me, thank you? On both my laptop and tablet and using my 'normal' Firefox Browser on my laptop or Chrome on my tablet, I keep getting this error message and have not been able to log in. Yesterday, when logged in as normal, I received no successful notifications and the very few I received were all full. I am not aware of having changed anything and if anyone can advise me how to gain access to Prolific I'll really appreciate it.
I have checked with 'Google', have cleared history and cookies and have restarted my tablet but, so far, I keep getting the error message.
"PEC-AS-0005 error
Login verification failed due to high risk of non-human activity on this network" The same message is on both my laptop and on my tablet when I try to log in to Prolific.
I used the link, very helpfully provided on this forum, to contact Prolific. They are very busy and it may be about 72 hours before they can reply. I apologize for my lack of knowledge but I ticked 'NO' to using a VPN but I am not sure what that is as I log in nearly always on Firefox on my laptop desktop and have Chrome but only use Chrome on my Tablet.
Thank you for any help or advice.

Yes me too, though I did manage to complete study first thing this morning (perceived differences in intelligence between the sexes). Crimson - apparently it is quite common if you have been doing lots of studies to then have a quiet patch, I don't think it will be related to the "non-human activity"! My cat is looking a bit guilty this morning though.1

This, like all MSE Forums, is really helpful. Although Prolific said it may be 72 hours - I was very pleased to receive a reply from Prolific Support Team - just a few minutes ago:"Thanks for reaching out! I'm sorry to hear about this issue.I've raised this to our team for further investigation. At the moment I can't tell you when this will be fixed, but our team will try to resolve this as soon as possible.I'll let you know as soon as I have any updates.Thank you for your patience!Best,Prolific Support Team"So that is encouraging - especially since they are very busy just now. I really expected to wait quite a while for a reply and their quick reassuring reply is much appreciated. Thanks for the replies and, Sapindus, don't blame the wee cat - I have a soft spot for pets - they are only trying to please you!1

I can log in again now. Although I did clear my cookies in the meantime. And this morning's study has been approved, so it looks like all is up and running again.1
