Not sure if posting in right place! I’ve started comping this last year just wondering how are you informed if win?! I’m worried I’ll miss an email as have so much junk (I do clear daily) or I’ll miss call and they won’t leave message... I won on Facebook and Twitter years ago but was contacted on there so easier to see! Just curious really!

There is an old thread in the chat corner
    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/526089/how-you-are-informed-of-wins/p1

partially it depends what the individual T&Cs state and what contact information is required when you enter - if site only has your e-mail address or mobile or FB details etc that's the only way they can contact you - and prizes that just turn up will have needed your address before that can be an option

    Hi @milky07
Questions like this are best asked in the Compers Chat Corner - but no need to recreate a post there, as Mods and Board Guides can move it where it best belongs.

My social media wins (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc.) either message me, comment on my comment or tag me in a post. Sometimes they just put your name in the post but don't tag you, so it is worth searching your name and winner or congratulations in the search faculty to double check! There are also a lot of scammers pretending to be the official sites and giving you fake winning messages or tags, please double check it is the actual account of company you entered from.

Gleam, Rafflecopter, KingSumo, RafflePress, email and most online forms, email you to let you know, although some bloggers also notify you on Twitter if you have your account linked, which is useful. You can search or set up an automatic redirection to your emails to go into a folder, if the email contains 'Winner' 'Congratulations' or 'Congrats' that way you shouldn't miss a winning email.

I've had a couple of wins just randomly turn up, these were mainly from craft magazine competition sites, this is why it is important to make sure you input the correct address.

I've never been notified by phone, even my Heart radio win, which I just received a letter in the post, asking me to contact them to claim my TV.

Sometimes your mobile number is required but this can also be for postage reasons, so don't get put off, just make sure it is a requirement and that you tick the correct tick boxes, not to receive calls or marketing.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.
