What's people's experience after being declined for a mortgage of then being successful with another lender??

Just the fact that you have been declined and have a hard check on your report rarely has a significant impact on future applications. The reason for the decline is what's important.7 times out of 10, when I get clients who have been declined elsewhere (direct or with another broker) it's down to the case being placed wrongly or packaged wrongly. The remaining times it's a fundamental issue with the circumstances itself which is often harder to rectify or place.
