Shared mortgage application

Hi,
Just looking for advice about joint mortgages and the application process.
Is there a requirement to declare all bank accounts including savings accounts? If so, is this info confidential with the individuals application or shared with both parties (the other person applying for the mortgage).
As 'bad' as this question may sound, it is purely for personal reasons and a very small amount, simply for a small amount of protection for the future. If anybody knows the answer to this would be much appreciated.

@bryde05 Generally speaking, as a broker the bank statements I may need sight of are -- the main bank statements where the applicants' income comes in and regular outgoings go out of (council tax direct debit, cc direct debits, etc).- business bank statement (if self employed)- savings bank statement if that's where the deposit is savedIf not relevant to the application (ie not being used to withhold anything material, such as large commited outgoings), there is no requirement to disclose all savings accounts or bank accounts to the broker or lender.

Had this question recently.
I can process a joint application and mostly shield each party from other's information. However, certain lenders automatically send a copy of the application out to the clients so if you are not wanting certain debts to be seen then this may come out anyway.
Bank statement transactions are irrelevant mostly but certain lenders will query unusual transactions and request bank accounts that they see transfers going back and forth to in order to see if any informal loans are being hidden from them1
