Discounted settlement

Does anyone know if you make a discounted settlement on a Debt, does it impact your credit score pls

I would assume the damage will already be done to your credit file, so worrying about a number no one see`s but you, is a little bit pointless.
If you can settle for less, then do so, credit files heal themselves with time, i assume the debt has already long since defaulted, so as i said, the damage is already done.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free wannabe, Credit file and ratings, and Bankruptcy and living with it boards.
