Mortgage paid off - clearing a charge via land registry (Northern Ireland)

Hi all,  I live in Northern Ireland and have just paid off my mortgage.  I believe I have to apply to land registry to "clear the charge" on the property.  I think this only has to be done in NI and Scotland?  Anyway I've spoken to a couple of solicitors about this and apparently the cost is:
  • Land Registry Fee to release charge: 20.00
  • Land Registry Fee - updated folio after registration: £7.00.
So a total cost of £27 to do this with land registry.  I've had quotes from 2 solicitors both quoting a similar professional services fee of around £100.  Has anyone done this without a solicitor?  I've tried googling for the right forms or process but ended up thoroughly confused.  I'm not against paying a solicitor £100 on top of the above if its as confusing as it looks but if its only £27 and I can do it myself I'd obviously rather do that.  TIA!
