Taking Santander mortgage to Scotland

Sorry if this has been asked before, I tried a search but couldn't find anything relevant.
I am in year 3 of a 7 year fixed rate mortgage (1.79%) with Santander. I would like to sell up and take my mortgage to Scotland and buy a property with approx 40% LTV.
I am sure I read that Santander will not move a mortgage from a property in England to Scotland but I may be wrong.
Can anyone advise?
