Where are the postage stamps sold in Tesco?

Tesco online states they sell stamps but where are they in the store? Tesco has sent me money-off vouchers on a £20 spend so I thought stamps would help me reach that target. I've not seen stamps on the shop floor, do you ask the cashier?  buy them separately at customer service?  something else?  Thanks in advance!

In our local store it’s customer services that sell them but can you include them in your spend?  Check what is excluded.

I would try the kiosk that sells lottery tickets and cigarettes-this may be the same as customer services in some stores but in mine they are separate.
I agree with checking the exclusions as postage stamps are usually excluded.

I'm not a Tesco shopper but in Sainsburys they're sold at the Customer Services desk / tobacco kiosk/lottery point . Can be a PITA if there's one person serving someone with a complicated return. Customer Services?? 🤣

You just used to ask at any till and they usually had them.

However I have not had reason to ask in a large one in years. I usualy frequent my local extra and there they are at the tills.
  • Thanks guys. Appreciate the help. I'll ask at customer service.

It probably depends on the size of shop - in the smaller ones  customer services is the people on the tills. But one way or another you have to ask for them; you won't find them on a shelf.

Self-serve won't work here because its like leaving wads of cash on the shelves.

I think the item purchased had switched to alcohol (as another item excluded from conditional spend vouchers).

Plus so small. My friend who works for Sainsburys - their stamps get delivered in their cigs. As they are so small, they can get lost. A case of books of 12 1st class stamps is £510.

Postage stamps don't count on money off vouchers. On the T&Cs on the back of the Tesco coupons, alcohol is listed under excluded items. Though it works if go through self scan or scan n go!  If you go through a manned till, you may get a little Hitler saying you can't use your coupon.
Is that a fair comment about a till assistant who is just doing their job by not allowing you to use a coupon on an item that is excluded?.
If the coupons mention alcohol is meant to be excluded - why do they scan at self scans which are accepted? Either remove the alcohol off the list of exceptions or do the blocking properly. Unless, not tried this myself that if your coupon was £8 off £40 and spend the full £40 on alcohol - the coupon will not be accepted at all on scan n go/self service.

The max I have spent on alcohol whilst using a coupon was £18 on a £10 off £50.

Tesco will get more money if they remove the alcohol exclusion listed on the reverse of the coupon as bet many have binned coupons when the looked at the exclusions if they struggle to hit the spend value without buying booze!
