Hi there
Can someone please give some guidance on whether a mortgage would be probable.
I have 1 Default (settled 4 years ago) and 2 CCJ's (x1 paid in full 4 years old for £100 and x1 for 5,000 and I have paid 2500 back over last 3 years)
In the last 2 years there has been no missed payments and me and my wife only have a mortgage plus x1 credit card with 2k on.
we have approx 35k equity in the house and 3k in saving
I earn 50k and she earns 12k
we are looking to move house, however her credit rating is very good but mine is 460 rating and poor because of the 2 CCJ's and a default from years ago
Do you think it will be possible to get a mortgage (10% deposit) with such a poor credit rating ?
thanks

@rrs1999 It will depend on the specifics and the numbers stacking up, but based on the info in your post, it looks like your default and CCJs were registered 3+ years ago, so there are a few specialist lenders who will consider at 90% LTV.
