Have we found a house too soon?

My husband and myself were planning on looking to buy in the next 12 months but we have come across a house at the bottom of our budget but it ticks all of our boxes. We have the deposit we need and enough savings to pay for all of our solicitor/ moving fees. Our credit ratings are where we need them to be and our mortgage repayments will be the same as the rent we are privately paying now. However we have not had consistency in savings every month and most of our savings have come from a gift from my dad after my mum died (her wishes were for them to gift us the deposit)
my concern is will a lender (Barclays) see that we need to clean our spending habits up a little for a few months before they will offer us a mortgage (we have a AIP with them but obviously this has not looked into our finances too much) and is there much point putting in an offer yet or should we wait?
Thanks for any advice

@christina29 Generally speaking, based on the limited info in your post, I don't see anything (other than a bigger deposit over time) that would make a material difference to your chances whether you applied today or in a few months.

Thank you for your reply. As we are first time buyers we didn’t know if they would be funny that the savings and deposit has not been saved by ourselves.
