Car manufacturers finance and registration

I am trying to buy a car for my ex wife, we are separated and I will be the financier but she will be the registers keeper. I was advised this will not be possible as the finance and keeper need to be the same for the first vehicle registration. Is this accurate.

It depends on how you are financing the car. If you are using the dealer's finance and that is part of their T's and C's then yes. If you are financing through a third party then perhaps not. If you finance via a bank loan then almost definitely not.0
