Council tax re banding

Hello, I have tried to search the forum without success, can I ask if I am able to challenge my council tax banding from a property I lived in for more than 20 years but have since moved from within the last 3 years..... the valuation office are saying not but I need to check....Thank you....

No you cannot.

If you think the band is wrong and have supporting evidence, advise the current occupier of your previous home and suggest to them that they ask the VOA for a band review.

Hi All, I have lived in my property for 10 years and recently wrote to the voa to look into my council tax. I’m currently a band D and all the other houses on the street are A or B. They have written back stating that they believe it is right. Can I now challenge ? I have all the research done but by their response it looks like I can’t ?

If you have not already done so, you can only forward the the evidence you have gathered and ask if they would reconsider. There is no right of appeal against their decision.
