AIP REFERED

Hi guys, just after a bit of advice as I’m just worrying and stressing. We have an AIP with Coventry building society that was referred to underwriters, thankfully all was okay and we have been excepted. Our mortgage advisor told us that because we have been manually checked pre-application that it should be smooth sailing when we apply to full application. We put in a full application last Tuesday (27th of April). Told it would be around 2 weeks to get a decision. Just wondering if anyone had been in the same situation and are you almost guaranteed to get a mortgage offer? Nothing has changed since AIP and application in regards to credit etc etc. Pleas help haha? X

@niamh5664 There are no guarantees until you have the offer in hand :) but the DIP being referred means an actual person has done a quick sense check on the application (plus any documents requested) and not seen anything obvious that that could lead to a decline. So, in that aspect it's better than a fully automated DIP. I hope that makes sense. Good luck!

Thank you for your reply, ah I see! Do you know if it’s the same check they do on the AIP and full application in terms of our documents and affordability? Thanks in advance 😊
