I emailed one of those "Free Mortgage Brokers", (just to ask a pretty straightforward question) 3 weeks ago. I'm still waiting for an answer. :/
Two Self Employed Mortgage Brokers i emailed, both got back to me within 24 hours.

And the other one is Nicola @ Dunham McCarthy
Both very reasonably priced and knowledgeable. (You can message to enquire about their fees)

OP if your naive in thinking an EA offers value you are so wrong.

There's a saying that if the Estate Agent's lips are moving, they are lying.

I avoided any EA linked service. They wanted to charge me double for a building survey for example. Their EA Brokers are not always whole of the market and they often have a bad rep. Like not passing your details to the vendor unless you use their broker scam.

Always good to shop around and use word of mouth.

There are good brokers paid and free, you need to find them.

I have always used brokers and I have used both type and they were word of mouth. Never regretted it.

If you like filing in paper work and submitting stuff and a 2 hour phone interview go ahead and solo it. I have better things to do in my time than to go over things that has already been submitted.
