Non slip mat (Lakeland) for solid wood coffee table

If this is not the right place to ask, would someone redirect me, please?
I see what would be a good non slip mat - Lakeland Slip-a-Grip Fabric Shelf and surface liner 30 cm x 3 meter roll to cut to size. Product code 8297. It says this may damage wooden surfaces and my little table is polished solid wood ? Elm. If this type of mat is unsuitable could anyone please recommend something? I would be covering it with a small table cover.
I was not sure if 'In my home' or 'I Wanna buy it or do it' forums would be more suitable. Glad of your help.
Thank you
Crimson

@Deleted_User I'm afraid I can't recommend a specific product but I do recommend ringing the Lakeland customer service number and asking them for their suggestions. I've done that myself once or twice over the years when I haven't been quite sure whether something is quite what I've needed or not and they've always been both knowledgeable and helpful without trying to push me into a purchase.1

Thank you very much, goldfinches. I'll do that although Lakeland website does say that it may damage wooden surfaces. As you say - they may be able to recommend some other solution.

I have something like this on my dining table:I can't remember where I bought it from, you can cut it to size.
