WFH tax relief

Hello!
My work were sent to work from home indefinitely since the first lock down 2020 and continue under this order.
I was on maternity leave until May 2020 and then took accrued annual leave until July. When I came back had to WFH for the first week. I also WFH for my KIT days. Due to this I claimed the tax relief for 2020/21 tax year for the proportion of the year I was back from maternity (May 20-EOTY).
After the first week back from maternity I negotiated working from the office 3 days a week for wellbeing reasons but my employer did offer up to 5. This has continued with me working 2/3 days a week from home and 2/3 days in the office depending on the week.
Am I now able to claim the tax relief for 2021/22? I assumed not as I have the option to work 5 days in the office if i like therefore I'm not "required" to WFH?

Perhaps you could persuade your employer to require you to work from home for say a week in 2021/22?Mizydoscape said:Hello!

I think that's the crux. I'm not "required" to WFH therefore I'm not eligible for the relief?0

If my kind employer were to write me a letter saying I am required to work at home for the next week, I would hope that would suffice. Qualifying for a week in 2021/22 gets you the allowance for the whole year.Mizydoscape said:I think that's the crux. I'm not "required" to WFH therefore I'm not eligible for the relief?0
