Sorry, but this is totally stupid.. Dogs should not be fed a Vegan diet - can't believe this sort of thing actually exists.

Dogs can actually live off a vegan diet but cats can't, but meat is far better for them as they need the protein. Although I'm a vegan myself I wouldn't expect my own pets to be vegan because of my beliefs, it's not fair on them.

Sure - dogs can live, but they won't thrive.. imo, if you can't face feeding your dog meat, don't have a dog..

This isn't a chat thread. If you want to chat about vegan diets for dogs, take it to the chat thread and stop bumping. I'd be happy to chat to you on there about my six thriving vegan-fed rescue dogs and how ill-informed you are.

Wish people would realise that most dog (and cat) food has a high proportion of vegetable matter in it. People love to get outraged at vegans.
