Hi, my daughter wants to remortgage to release funds. There most be better ways to raise money that that? I'm happy to lend her it myself but she wants to be independent. Any suggestions? Thanks!

How much is she trying to release and what does she want the money for?

The purpose will be important to lenders, and the amount will give a clue as to the appropriate way to access the funds...

For large sums lenders will security of some kind. Most peoples only asset of value is their property. Which limits options when one requires money.

"Better" in what way? It's usually cheaper than getting an unsecured loan.
