Advanced train tickets

Hi,

Does anyone know anything about whether you can get cheaper advance train tickets at the moment?  In particular, I'm looking for Sheffield-Birmingham-Porthmadog and neither legs have any.

We're looking for some for early June at the moment and have found little or nothing even using Ticket Split.

When are you travelling?

Looking randomly for next Monday (10 May) around 10am for 1 adult, CrossCountry are asking for over 80 quid single, but split ticketing websites will do it for around 50 quid (or 40 if you don't mind a slower journey)
