Final credit check before completion

Hi we have recently received a mortgage offer from halifax so now we are in the process of waiting for searches to come back etc. When we applied for mortgage me and my wife had no debt. I was on excellent score and my wife fair score. We are quite aware not to apply for credit or use credit before completion. However beginning of April we got our water bill which is on my wife's credit file 560 pound just to make sure that the higher balance wouldn't show on credit file we paid the full amount. However this morning my wife has received a notification from credit karma to say her score has dropped from fair to poor because of the higher balance which is showing on her credit file. I'm worried now they will do another credit check before completion and see the higher balance and that her score has dropped. Will this be likely? Thanks

From my understanding they don’t use the scores given by Experian/equifax/callcredit in stead Halifax will create their own score based on information on your credit report details.1
