Hi all,
Our mortgage offer from Bluestone is about to expire and our new build isn't going to be ready in time. Does anyone have any experience of needing to request an extension from Bluestone? Was it straightforward?
Thanks

I had to get an extension as I was buying during the original lockdown, payslips and updated bank statements were provided then I sat back and waited to see if I got it.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1

Thanks, I hope it all went well for you. Do you happen to remember roughly how long it took for a decision? Our broker has said to get back in touch a week or two before the offer expires.MovingForwards said:I had to get an extension as I was buying during the original lockdown, payslips and updated bank statements were provided then I sat back and waited to see if I got it.1 -

It wasn't long, about a week, but everything was totally different back near the start of lockdown and things are also a little slower now due to the amount of applications going in.
I got my extension, then exchanged and completed in 2 weeks; old property and in Scotland.
Trust your broker, they deal with these lenders regularly.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1
