Fee protection / Tax investigation insurance for liquidating company

Options
Hello there.

I currently have Pfp fee protection insurance via my accountant's group scheme. The renewal is coming up but am told that they will no longer able to offer renewal on the group scheme as I am not intending to use their accounting services going forward. Accountant last year completed final accounts for a liquidating company. Due to covid there is a backlog so still waiting for completion on the liquidation. I think it makes sense to have fee protection in place for another year, to cover for any potential enquiry into company accounts and also self assessment going forward.

Have been recommended going direct with Pfp cost estimated to be about £200. Has anyone used any other providers they can recommend? Most seem to work with accountants only (e.g coroner taxwise) rather than direct with the end client. Qdos doesn't seem to offer the right product for this scenario, although could be wrong.

Thanks.
