Children not accepted into preschool. Alternatives?

Hi,

So our kids were not accepted into any of their preschool choices. We are going to enter Stage 2 and possibly appeal. In the mean time. Anyone out there who's kids did not go to preschool and what did you do?

I put ours into a playgroup affiliated with a church in the local area. Only 3 hours a day and had to pay for it but better than nothing.
I didn't bother appealing tbh. You are not legally entitled to a preschool place for your child and in my position i was working and not on benefits so was way down the list.

Thanks. Hopefully the schools will give feedback as to why not accepted and hopefully after applying for more tomorrow something will come about.

Hopefully you will get some decent information rather than just the standard "we were oversubscribed".
