Does anyone know if M&S Swiss chocolate is made by Lindt ?
After having Chemo I’ve found out I cannot eat Lindt chocolate without feeling sick. This happened again with M&S Swiss milk chocolate. I wondered if they are made by the same manufacturer or it’s just coincidence.

Sorry to hear of your illness and I hope its not too gruelling. Personally I'd lay off the chocolate for the time being because the last thing you'll want is a strong negative association after treatment has ended.

My maternal grandfather worked for Lindt and they don't make chocolate for other companies.

Sorry to hear that you're feeling unwell after eating chocolate. Perhaps it's jus a rich food that your stomach can't manage at the moment. What about a chocolate mousse ?

They are made by Gysi of Bern - a “Pivate Label” chocolate maker who also make Swiss chocolate for Sainsbury and Tesco, with Harrods as their most premium customer. In the U.K., M&S probably sell the largest number of lines by them.
  • Lindt are a Swiss company, perhaps it's something about the way Swiss chocolate is made (they use more milk) that's causing the issue.
