Root canal treatment abroad - which country?

Hi, my NHS dentist has referred me to see a specialist dentist that does root canals as he can’t do it himself (it’s for a back molar). I have been quoted £2000 for a root canal treatment and white crown to have it done at a private clinic in Surrey. I have seen ads online about having dental treatment abroad which seems to be a fraction of this price. Is there anyone here who has had this treatment done abroad? Which country did you go to and what was your experience? Ideally I would like to see a dentist in the UK that is connected with the dentist surgery abroad before going abroad for the treatment. I live near London. I’m grateful for any advice. Thanks

I am also interested. I assume it is just a speculative question, as I don't think travelling abroad is so easy at the moment.

There is no reason why once the root filling is done, your NHS dentist cannot provide the crown. How to find a dentist.
1. Get recommendations from friends/family/neighbours/etc.
2. Once you have a short-list, VISIT the practices - dont just phone. Go on the pretext of getting a Practice Leaflet.
3. Assess the helpfulness of the staff and the level of the facilities.
4. Only book initial appointment when you find a place you are happy with.1 -
Yes, if I can find somewhere reputable abroad to have the treatment done, it would be after 17th May when restrictions have eased.ciaccino said:I am also interested. I assume it is just a speculative question, as I don't think travelling abroad is so easy at the moment.0 -
