Barclays Mortgage Timeline 2021

Hi All, 

I've seen a few posts like this, but want to get most recent timescales for Barclays Mortgage Applications.

We submitted our application on 24/04/21 

Just wondering if anyone else has done theirs in the past couple of months and what the timescale was like for you. So anxious about it all so want to get an idea of when we could realistically hear back!

There are a few Barclays threads about already that have some super useful info therein. I will say however that my Barclays mortgage offer was approved in roughly 12 days, from DIP to the offer, only last month. Barclays differ from many lenders as they do a soft AND hard search first. If you ask me, this is better as they know more about your credit history right at the outset, allowing you to know pretty quickly if they won't lend.

We applied with Barclays direct, and were a little slow getting our application off because I kept worrying that there were mistakes in the form. It was finally sent off March 10th. We had a desktop valuation (that was completed while our application was being completed) and we got our offer March 12th. So it was super quick for us

I applied 21st April MB advised should have an answer by 28/29

If it helps our timeline has went like this with 15% deposit which was actually quite fast, ours was more difficult aswell considering we'd been declined by a different lender after application first so everything needed to be scrutinised more. 

12/04/2021 - Application Submitted by Mortgage Broker
12/04/2021 - Application Deffered due to previous failed application 
14/04/2021 - Initial Review Passed - Sent to Underwriters
16/04/2021 - Underwriters Approve and Instruct Valutation
21/04/2021 - Valuation takes place 
21/04/2021 - Valutation fine and MB is told at the end of the day the Mortgage is approved
26/04/2021 - Offer recieved in post (Woo), also recieved by solicitors the same day

Ours has been funny! Submitted the 12th, valuation done and fine by the 19th. Still waiting for the official decision, just keep getting told that all documents are received and waiting review!

Just resurrecting this thread as I know things are changing fast at the moment - does anyone have any more recent timescales to share? We've just submitted a Barclays application and are hoping to complete before SDLT holiday (as is everyone else I'm sure).

I applied 21st April and recieved my offer on 10th May.. currently hoping to complete by end of this week. *fingers crossed*

Hi All, 
Just joining the thread as our DIP was done on 25th and provisionally accepted,  full application was submitted with Barclays on the 26th. We went direct and don't seem to have a reference for Track IT but our mortgage advisor is fairly responsive so fingers crossed!
