Full time - zero hours - full time

Leading on from my last question. I was on full time contract which I signed. Then put on zero hours contract for last 3 months. This was just a letter I signed to say i was to be on zero hours contract. I will  shortly be returning to full time with same employer. Should I be signing a new contract or will the first one still be in force?
Many thanks

Depends what exactly the letter said.
