Mortgage Completion

Hello,
I have a logistical issue with completing a mortgage deal that is currently at a stage where a valuation has been completed and the offer has been issued to myself and the conveyancer. I signed the Deed Form on Friday and e-mailed it to the conveyancer. My problem is that I am a Merchant Sailor and I work away from home for around four months at a time. Is there a chance that the deal would fall through because I work away?
I hear tell that I might be required to physically turn up somewhere to sign something or other and there's no way to do it via e-documents with e-signature, if you understand me?
I got my offer in the mail on Wednesday, I signed the deed on Friday so I think the bulk of the conveyancing work is being carried out now? The problem is, I am due to return to work around mid-May so that doesn't leave much time for things to resolve?

Who have you heard that from and what do you think you still have to sign? If you're in doubt about whether there is anything else to sign, ask the conveyancer. Hadn't you already discussed with them that you're often away? You can sign a Power of Attorney before you go, to allow them (or somebody else) to sign documents on your behalf if necessary.Conan1Sett said:

Your solicitor can hold signed documents on file in advance of actually needing them.0
