HMRC are saying I owe 39000 tax! I only earn 12500 PA I have phoned them they say they will look into it however have just noticed they are charging me £11.00 per day interest. Have now phoned 5 times ( 1 hour at a time) any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Do you have an online account, if so what does it say the calculation is from?
If it was a letter what does it say?0 -
Are you sure this isn't a scam/fraud?
Even if you did (as an individual) owe HMRC £39,000 they only charge 2.6% interest so the daily interest would be less than £3.
You need to give more details about what you have been sent/how you have been notified of this debt.1
