Leaving Company during private health treatment

Hi all, this is my first post in the forum.
I am currently undergoing treatment using a major private health insurer which is part of my workplace benefits. I have had the surgery (knee) and will be undertaking physio and follow up consultant appointments for the next few months. The treatment, including physio and follow ups, has all been approved by the insurer.
My question is, what happens if I leave my job before my treatment is complete? Would I be then liable for any costs, or continuing treatment that has been approved but might happen after I've left my employer? Should I wait until treatment is completely finished before moving job?
Many thanks

The logical assumption is that as the illness was incurred and the treatment agreed when you were an employee and covered, they will pay. However, the only people that can answer that for certain are the insurance company.InterestedReader123 said:Hi all, this is my first post in the forum.

To protect yourself I would ask them in writing.1 -
I would ask, but I had a similar situation and was told by the insurance provider that as I had been placed on the companies insurance for the years term, they would still sort me out until the companies renewal date, a few months after i left. I did as undervalued suggested, & got it in writing. With love, POSR
